Tomorrow morning! I can't believe after waiting for over 8 months, we're finally going home tomorrow morning! We have a 12 1/2 hour flight ahead of us so we can definitely use your prayers! We're praying for a safe flight and simply just an uneventful flight - without losing anything or anyone this time.
We've had a good time this week with Rickson's brother Bruce and his family as well as other friend here in Hawaii. We've enjoyed some relaxing time as a family, but seriously, we're all, kids included, just ready to get home!
This furlough has been a blessed time for our family and, though it is hard to leave our home and ministry for so long, it was necessary for us at this time. I'm grateful to God to be able to report that our support level has increased on this furlough from 72% when we first arrived in the US to 94%! This is a huge answer to prayer!
Lord willing, next time I update this blog, we will be home on our little island!

Aloha! We made it to Hawaii safe and sound. We're staying at the prophet's chamber at Ohana Baptist Church. We'll be at Koolau Baptist Church tomorrow for the evening service. The kids are having a good time with their cousins here. We're all a little jet-lagged but hopefully that will go away quickly! We're enjoying the time we're able to spend with Rickson's brother and his family.

I haven't done too well with keeping everyone updated on our travels throughout California! We are enjoying our trip. We had a bit of an experience in Houston as our flight from Charleston was late and we missed our flight there. In our haste to get to the next terminal we were all rushing to the train and Kaleo jumped on and the doors slammed shut before any of the rest of us could get through! It was definitely a moment of panic for us all but God protected and we were able to find Kaleo safely at the next terminal.
We just completed our last meeting in CA yesterday. We had a blessed Easter with our friends at Faith Baptist Tabernacle. We've also enjoyed taking the kids to the San Diego Zoo, the state capital, Sutter's Fort, and Old Town Sacramento. We were able to spend about 6 days with my brother's family in Arroyo Grande and had a great time there. The kids were really sad to say goodbye to their cousins there. I will try to post some pictures of the trip later on when I have the chance.
Now we are leaving Sacramento and will be heading back to southern CA but first I think we'll be driving the kids up into the mountains to see some snow.
